We have an exciting opportunity for customer focused individuals to join our dynamic Trafford based team who deliver an exceptional service to our patients. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, patient relatives/ carers and health care professionals accessing our services at Trafford

We have permanent part-time opportunity offering 10 hours per week. The shifts we have available are:-

Week 2 Tuesday 08.00- 14.00

Week 2 Thursday 19.00-23.00

Week 1 Friday 08.00- 14.00

Week 1 Saturday 14.00- 18.00

You will be required to work a weekend shift and there will be overtime opportunities are always available.

Rate of pay £12.00 to £14.40 depending on shift pay rise 3% in April 2025

As a Trafford Receptionist for Mastercall Healthcare you will be the first point of contact for healthcare professionals, patients or patient relatives/carers accessing our services. The receptionist will ensure that all patients, visitors and staff attending the premises are made welcome and always treated professionally. The role will also include administrative duties and require the post holder to be aware of activities and services being delivered in the premises at any time.

The role will involve:

  • Welcome all patients and visitors
  • Log patients as arrived on the clinical system
  • Book patients on to the clinical system
  • Advise all patients of wait times and update the information regularly
  • Ensure visitors sign in, issue temporary ID badges & log car registration numbers
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate place
  • Monitor patients in the waiting room and escalate any concerns as appropriate
  • Keep the waiting room and reception tidy, including monitoring the supply of information leaflets
  • Receive all incoming post, faxes and emails in a timely manner direct them to the appropriate people
  • Answer all incoming phone calls in a timely manner transfer them as appropriate
  • Receive all deliveries direct them to the appropriate place
  • Respond to panic alarms call Hospital crash team, security and/or police if required
  • Report any incidents in accordance with organisational policies relating to patients, staff, premises and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff attend staff meetings and all mandatory training as required
  • Regularly check your NHS Mail email account for work-related correspondence
  • Maintain sound operational knowledge of the computer systems, telephony systems and communication equipment
  • Check and sign medical equipment/prescription in and out at the start and end of each shift for all clinicians
  • Provide administration support to other members of the team as required
  • Effectively communicate with other health and social care agencies when required
  • Arrange emergency ambulance transfer/ taxi transport to other hospitals/home for patients when required
  • Check the clinical rooms each morning and evening ensure the rooms are fully stocked and fit for purpose
  • Know where spare stock and equipment is kept notify the appropriate people when stock is low
  • Deal with general enquires
  • Be the front-line member of staff to deal with any complaints, ensure an up-to-date knowledge of complaints procedures and escalation procedures
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
