Band Doctor - other: £41,750 to £64,288 a year per annum  FIXEDTERM 

Barts Health NHS Trust invites applicants for a ST3 equivalent/Trust doctor post in Haematology, based at St Bartholomew's Hospital (SBH). This post is to cover a short term gap in the NE London Haematology and Oncology training rotations.

This post is available from 3rd March 2025 and is for 6-12 months in the first instance. Full MRCP (or equivalent) is an essential requirement and your application will not be considered without it.

The post holder will work under the clinical direction of all the consultants in the respective Haematology or Haemato-Oncology Departments with a clearly identified clinical and educational supervisor.

The post would be ideal for those wishing to pursue a career in Haematology and who subsequently wish to apply for a National Training Number. As such the post is suitable for experienced SHO equivalents/Clinical Fellows/Registrars who plan to pursue a career in Haematology and who would like to add to their experience in Haemato-oncology.

Exposure to morphology, flow, cytogenetics and molecular haematology

Flow cytometry meeting

Laboratory experience - look at the films & marrows of your patients with SIHMDS team

Stem cell laboratory visit - knowledgeable about stem cell processing,

Writing BMT protocols in discussion with consultants and CNS

Audit

Case reports, abstracts, publications

Producing a departmental guideline or SOP

Teaching undergraduates and SHOs; OSCE examiner
