Riverside Surgery is expanding the Urgent Care Team. Are you enthusiastic and well motivated to join our busy GP Surgery. You will be based in Brigg in a busy rural practice. You should value excellent patient care. You will be responsible for the first line telephone assessment of care needs of patients and to provide appropriate interventions and advice as part of our multi-disciplinary Urgent Care Team.
To assess patients by telephone and offer advice, arrange treatment or book the patient an appointment within an agreed time frame with the most appropriate clinician. To offer advice or an appointment to patients with undifferentiated diagnosis, access, diagnose and treat minor illness/injury. To organise and interpret appropriate investigations and make onward referrals as appropriate. To liaise with GPs or other Healthcare professionals as appropriate. To ensure clinical practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries of competence, and to acknowledge limitations. To take part in training when required and offer teaching and training support to other practice members when required.

Clinical Acute and Routine Work To triage patients by telephone that are requesting a same day appointment and offer advice, arrange treatment, or book the patient an appointment within an agreed timeframe with the most appropriate clinician. To offer same day appointments to patients with undifferentiated diagnosis, assess, diagnose and treat minor illness/injury. To organise and interpret appropriate investigations and make onward referral as appropriate. To onward refer as appropriate. To liaise with GPs or other Healthcare professionals as appropriate. To ensure clinical practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries of competence, and to acknowledge limitations. Teaching and Mentorship To take part in training when required and offer teaching and training support to other practice members when required. To participate in annual appraisal. To participate in training practice Registrar and Medical Students. To participate in Good Clinical Practice training To participate in studies as appropriate relevant to your role. Administration To deal with emails/tasks and other queries as required on a daily basis. To review blood results and take necessary action as appropriate. To ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patients electronic notes. To maintain appropriate registration with health service body. General To develop clinical skills to offer any additional services as agreed in the future. To participate in Nurse Team Meetings and Urgent Care Meetings.
