Step into a senior nursing role supporting people with urological cancers at Aintree University Hospital (Liverpool L9 7AL). As a Band 7 Urology Cancer Nurse Specialist you'll manage a specialist caseload, run nurse‑led telephone assessment clinics and co‑ordinate care through the cancer pathway — from diagnostic imaging and biopsies to diagnosis and SMDT. This permanent, full‑time post sits within a cohesive, experienced team formed from the Royal Liverpool and Aintree merger, and offers mentoring, opportunities to lead nurse‑led clinics and to use advanced clinical and teaching skills. The salary band is £47,810–£54,710 per annum and applicants must hold UK professional registration and relevant post‑basic specialist qualifications.
This role is ideal for an experienced urology nurse — particularly women and carers seeking a meaningful, leadership‑focused position with clear development routes. You’ll work closely with multi‑disciplinary colleagues to plan personalised care, support families to self‑manage and help shape a newly reconfigured service across major Liverpool sites. The Trust values professional development, offers scope for teaching, audit and service improvement, and will consider skilled‑worker sponsorship where needed.
