Job summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Ward
14, we are looking to recruit a ward clerk to provide clerical support to the
clinical staff in our busy ward. Your role would include greeting patients,
taking their details and preparing the documentation for admission. You will
also be involved in data collection and audits. You must be confident dealing
with patients and staff, approachable, a team player and computer literate. You
will be joining a friendly team and be supported to transition into the role.





Main duties of the job


You will
welcome patients to the ward, take their demographic details, input them onto
the electronic patient record database, print stickers, prepare the
documentation for the nursing team, complete audits, arrange follow up
appointments and referrals, ordering adhoc stock as required, take clinical
requests to laboratory, answering phone calls from relatives, support the ward
manager in clerical jobs when required.
