Are you looking for a new challenge? We are seeking to recruit a part time enthusiastic Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly, dynamic team at the Elgar Unit, Worcester.

This is a great first step into an administrative career working for the NHS, as we are happy to train, mentor and coach the successful candidate. You will be first point of contact for patients and visitors. This rewarding but busy role would suit someone who can stay calm under pressure in challenging situations, whilst carrying out a variety of tasks as no two days are the same.

If you are enthusiastic, motivated, and ready for a challenge, then you are what we are looking for. Applicants should have good communication and organisational skills & be able to work independently to a high standard. Experience of dealing with members of the public is desirable.

This is a part time post working 18 hours per week, evenings - 16.00-20.30.

You will be part of the busy reception/admin team within the Urgent Care Specialist Mental Health & Learning Disabillities Services.

You will undertake a vital role in supporting the services providing all aspects of admin support including telephone duties, inbox management, appointment booking, reception cover and generic office duties. The role will include contact with patients, carers, professionals & colleagues daily.

As well as being part of the reception team, you will act as a member of the wider admin function providing support and cover when required, liaising regularly with the clinical team and actioning daily admin tasks. You are required to have a high level of organisational skills and not only be able to be self-motivated but be a team player.

The ability to prioritise a busy workload and work flexibly to meet demand are essential requirements of the role as well as a good customer service focus, when dealing with internal and external enquiries.

Providing support as required e.g. typing, data input, scanning, telephone cover, generic inbox management, liaison with patients and colleagues, appointment and diary management, maintaining accurate records, reception cover and problem solving.

The role may require contact with distressed and anxious patients; you will be provided with training and support to enable you to manage potentially challenging situations.
