As Activity Coordinator for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust at the Eating Disorder Day Service in Norton, Stockton (TS20), you will plan, lead and deliver therapeutic, social and recreational activity programmes for people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities. Working under the supervision of an occupational therapist, you will design and run individual and group sessions, co-facilitate with HCAs, nurses, fitness instructors and third‑sector partners, and liaise with services to encourage engagement and manage behaviours that challenge. This permanent, full‑time Band 3 role (salary £24,937–£26,598) places emphasis on building strong therapeutic relationships, clear communication within a multi‑professional team and practical support for service users and their carers.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced carers, support workers or educators with a relevant Level 3 qualification (health/social care, communication or teaching) plus Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 (or equivalent). You should have paid, voluntary or lived experience working with people with learning disabilities or mental health needs, and be prepared to complete Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies during the six‑month probation.
