Job description
Support the Community Nursing Team at Powys Teaching Health Board as an Administrative Assistant based at Knighton Hospital (LD7). This permanent, part‑time Band 2 post is 15 hours per week, salary £24,833 per annum pro rata. You will be the department’s first point of contact — handling and directing calls, taking accurate messages, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries and representing the service professionally. Daily tasks include word processing, photocopying, updating electronic and paper records, mail distribution, stock monitoring and placing orders, plus general office administration using MS Office. A basic level of literacy/numeracy or equivalent and proven IT skills are essential; previous healthcare or customer‑facing experience is desirable. The ability to speak Welsh is a bonus. Please note this role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and, currently, certificates of sponsorship are not available for this post.
