As Care Co‑Ordinator / Medical Administrator at Coleridge Medical Centre in Ottery St. Mary you will be the welcoming first point of contact for patients, managing appointment bookings, telephone enquiries, eConsults and patient records with empathy and discretion. This frontline role for the Fuller and Forbes Partnership sits within a multidisciplinary team of GPs, ANPs, nurses and HCAs caring for around 16,000 patients, so you’ll balance friendly reception duties with accurate coding, scanning and administration to keep the practice running smoothly. The post is part‑time, permanent and patient‑facing, and requires strong IT skills, clear communication, attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality and service improvement.

This role suits experienced receptionists, carers and anyone looking to transfer hands‑on caring skills into a medical admin setting — particularly women seeking flexible, community‑focused work. You’ll have opportunities for training, work as part of a supportive team that values approachability and respect, and may need to work occasional Saturdays as part of a shared rota. GCSEs in English and Maths (grade 4–9) are essential, SystmOne experience and an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care are desirable, and a DBS check is required. Salary is dependent on experience.
