Job description
As Care Navigator at Northgate Medical Practice in Canterbury (CT1), you’ll be the friendly, professional first point of contact for patients across our three sites in Northgate, Blean and Chartham. This full-time, permanent post (37.5 hours per week) pays £23,873.60 a year and requires the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship). Your day will mix reception duties and clinical administration: welcoming and signposting patients, booking, amending and cancelling appointments, answering high-volume phone and online enquiries, checking patients in, monitoring clinics and relaying messages for home visits or district nurses. You’ll use EMIS and Docman, process new registrations and payments, handle scanning and general admin, support building security, act as a chaperone when needed and provide flexible cover across branches. The role suits someone with calm, clear communication, strong attention to detail and experience in customer-facing, fast-paced environments; a DBS check will be required.
Work here means joining one of Canterbury’s largest practices, supporting over 21,000 patients alongside a multidisciplinary team of GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, pharmacists and nurses. Northgate is a Health Education England approved training practice, offering a well-organised, community-focused setting where carers and women who enjoy hands-on patient support can develop practical clinical admin skills. If you’re reliable, compassionate and keen to make a real difference day to day, find out more and apply via jobsincare.com — or simply click the "Apply Now" button alongside this advert to begin your application.
