Job summary
The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary teamdelivering a range of designated tasks/duties of a clinical and non- clinical natureincluding personal compassionate care to patients, working within agreed policy andprocedures.Responsible for the moving and handling of patients between the department, wardsand other relevant departments. Responsible for the transport of medical equipment,specimens, linen, beds, blood products, hazardous substances, drugs and fluidsbetween Theatres and relevant service areas. Cleaning of clinical areas asnecessary within the department.The post holder will assist with the preparation of equipment.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse/Midwife/OperatingDepartment Practitioner, knowing what is expected of you, not working outside ofyour role, following reasonable requests and instructions within your work which mayinclude chaperone of patients, transfer of goods and equipment betweendepartments.
