Job description
Provide a warm, confidential reception and clerical service from Byron House, Newark (NG24), delivering the day-to-day admin that keeps patient care running smoothly. You’ll be the first point of contact by phone and in person, process referrals, arrange appointments, maintain and input clinical records, type correspondence, scan and archive documents and support the team with cover for annual leave and sickness. This practical role suits candidates with office or reception experience, good IT and word‑processing skills, an excellent telephone manner and a commitment to confidentiality — NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or a willingness to work towards it and OCR/RSA II typing or equivalent are essential or desirable qualifications.
This permanent, part‑time post is Band 2 (£24,465 per annum pro rata) and sits within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s large, supportive network of services. Successful applicants should note a DBS check is required and the cost (standard £26.40 or enhanced £54.40) will be deducted from salary over the first two months; you are encouraged to enrol on the DBS Update Service (annual fee £16). The Trust offers access to staff networks and wellbeing support, training and career development, and an inclusive culture that particularly supports women and carers through initiatives such as Menopause Champions and dedicated health and wellbeing services. This role is below the salary threshold for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
