Based at The Nuffield in Witney (OX28 6JQ), this Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner role with Oxford Health NHS Trust offers an autonomous, community‑facing post within the Adult AMHT. You will manage a caseload of people with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses, assess and plan treatment, manage clinical risk and safeguarding, and deliver evidence‑based interventions (including MBT/CBT‑style groups). The role is full‑time and permanent, mainly 9–5 with some expectation of flexible cover for out‑of‑hours shifts, and requires travel around the county, so access to transport is essential.
This opportunity suits registered Mental Health Nurses or OTs with community experience, current UK registration and a CPD portfolio who want to broaden their leadership skills through mentoring, supervision and service development in a refreshed, supportive team. Oxford Health offers competitive Band 6 pay (£38,682–£46,580), generous annual leave, NHS pension and tailored learning, plus wellbeing support — all attractive for carers and women seeking a stable, values‑led NHS role. This revolutionary system aimed to ensure that access to medical services would not depend on an individual’s financial situation, a concept that has since become fundamental to British societal values.
