Job description
Support patients' recovery through practical nutrition care as a Dietetic Assistant with Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at Leighton Hospital in Crewe (CW1). This permanent, full‑time Band 3 role (salary £24,937–£26,598) works across hospital and community settings, assisting dietitians with assessments, anthropometric measurements, dietary histories and monitoring of nutritional care plans. You will liaise with catering and ward teams to ensure therapeutic diets, snacks and supplements are delivered correctly, help with community clinic weight checks, support virtual group sessions and manage office‑based admin and IT tasks. The post carries an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check requirement; a full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.
This role suits practical, compassionate carers and women who enjoy hands‑on patient support and want to broaden clinical and administrative skills within a supportive NHS environment. The department encourages innovation and ongoing professional development, offering real scope to learn diet therapy while working as part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team. Applicants should have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at level 4 or above; customer‑care or health care training is desirable. Please note not all NHS roles are eligible for sponsorship and the Trust will not sponsor where the starting salary does not meet immigration thresholds — candidates who require sponsorship should check current UK immigration rules.
