Job description
Work evenings as a Domestic Assistant (Band 2) at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport (SK2) — 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 18:00–21:00. You’ll be part of a 204-strong Domestic Team delivering high-quality cleaning and decontamination across wards, theatres, departments and offices, using modern equipment and following national cleaning standards. This is a public-facing role so good customer skills, the ability to follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team, and to adapt to a changing environment are essential. The post is subject to a DBS check and candidates should be aware it is not eligible for UK Health and Care Worker visa sponsorship, so you must have the right to work in the UK.
This role suits practical, caring people — particularly women and family carers looking for reliable evening hours that fit around other responsibilities. The permanent, part-time role is paid at Agenda for Change Band 2 (£24,465 pro rata) and comes with attractive NHS benefits including 27–33 days annual leave plus bank holidays, NHS pension scheme membership, salary sacrifice schemes, staff discounts, cycle-to-work and local financial support through Stockport Credit Union. Training and development opportunities such as apprenticeships and NVQs are available, and flexible working requests are considered. For more details and to apply, click the “Apply Now” button next to this advert — you can also find this vacancy on jobsincare.com.
