PERMANENT
Job description
Based at Mount Vernon, Northwood (HA6), The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an Elective Admissions Coordinator to lead the day-to-day management of elective inpatient pathways. You will monitor and audit trust data, interrogate PAS wait‑list tables and ensure synchrony between outpatient and inpatient lists so patients do not breach national Access, Booking and Choice targets or the 18‑week Referral to Treatment standards. The role involves close daily liaison with consultant surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre coordinators across sites to ensure elective diaries are fully and safely booked, special equipment is ordered in good time and cancellations are avoided. You will create and maintain the daily bed list (paper and electronic), provide inpatient booking data for national initiatives, act as a first point of contact for clinicians and patients, review pre‑op clinics and clinic rules, and prepare regular performance reports for the Elective Inpatient Manager and weekly Waiting List Meeting.
This permanent, full‑time post is Band 4 (salary £32,199–£34,876 pa inc HCAS) and is well suited to organised, numerate carers who enjoy making a practical difference to patient journeys. Essential experience includes waiting‑list work or equivalent, high computer literacy and the ability to use and analyse data to identify service improvements; sound knowledge of Waiting List rules, Booking & Choice guidance, Patient Access policy and national Referral to Treatment rules is required. The role will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check and offers the chance to influence local service redesign through collaborative working across the Trust. If you’re a confident communicator who values compassionate, tangible impact for patients, find this vacancy on jobsincare.com and click the “Apply Now” button to submit your application.
