Support local patients across South West Somerset as a General Practice Assistant (GPA) with Symphony Healthcare Services Limited. Based in South Petherton and working across the South Somerset West PCN (including Martock, Stoke‑sub‑Hamdon, Crewkerne, Somerton and Ilchester), this hands‑on role blends administrative tasks with basic clinical duties. You will sort and prioritise clinical post, extract and code information from letters, arrange appointments, tests and referrals, prepare patients for GP consultations, and carry out basic observations such as BP, ECGs, urine dips and phlebotomy. You’ll also help complete core elements of forms, support immunisations and wound care, and liaise with external agencies so GPs can focus on complex care.
