Make a tangible difference to people across Flintshire as a Band 3 Health Care Assistant with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, working within the Community Resource Team. This permanent role (36 hours per week pro rata) supports patients to get home sooner and remain independent by assisting with washing, dressing, meal preparation, prompting medication and other daily living tasks, working closely with an integrated multidisciplinary team. Shifts are variable across the county between 08:00 and 22:00, and include weekends and bank holidays, with travel across Flintshire to meet service need. The post comes with a full induction, supportive leadership, clear opportunities for career progression and skills development (for example venepuncture and recording clinical observations after training), making it particularly attractive to women and experienced carers seeking meaningful, flexible community work.

You should hold a Level 3 health‑related qualification (or equivalent demonstrable competency) and have experience of direct patient care; an enhanced DBS with adults and children’s barred list check is required. Essential attributes include good communication, organisational skills, basic IT ability (Microsoft Office/Teams), the capacity to work with minimal supervision across a range of shift patterns and the physical ability to assist with mobility and manual handling. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential; applications may be submitted in Welsh without disadvantage. Salary is Agenda for Change Band 3 (£25,313–£26,999 pro rata), the contract is permanent and part‑time, and BCUHB is proud to promote equality and the Disability Confident scheme.
