Job description
Work as a Health Care Assistant on the Duffy Suite Intermediate Care ward at St Helens Hospital, supporting patients across a 28‑bed unit that provides acute medical care and rehabilitation. Roles are available on fixed‑term (31.6 or 37.5 hours/week) and permanent (10.5 hours/week) contracts, Band 2 pay (£24,465 pa pro rata) with full‑ and part‑time patterns. You’ll carry out household and direct care tasks delegated by the Nurse in Charge, help maintain a safe, dignified and recovery‑focused environment, assist qualified nursing and therapy staff, and keep accurate records in line with Trust policy. The post requires an Enhanced DBS check including Adults’ Barred Lists; an NVQ Level 2 in Health Care is desirable and the Care Certificate can be completed if you haven’t already.
