Job summary
A number of exciting opportunities have arisen within Glan Clwyd for permanent/fixed term Band 2 Health Care Support Worker roles within our Medical Division and Surgical Directorate.As a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker you will:Work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients with support and supervision provided by a registered health care professional.Undertake personal care activities and tasks as delegated by a registered health care professional, in accordance with the HEIW All Wales Guidelines for Delegation.Ensure the registered health care professional is regularly updated on the patient's/client's condition and improvement/deterioration.Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the healthcare setting and appropriate storage of stock items.Deliver role in accordance with Health Board values and the Code of Conduct for HCSW's in Wales.Full time/Part time hours available.Out of Hours Enhancements and staff benefits available.We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications. Main duties of the job
Assist the registered nurse/practitioner to deliver a high standard of holistic patientcare, ensuring that the patients` dignity and equality is maintained at all times.Ensure the principles set out in the fundamentals of care are incorporated into dailypractice to ensure high quality service for patients and clients. To perform duties within the plan of care delegated by a qualified practitioner, only for which he/she has the relevant training and assessment.Assist patients with dietary and hydration needs and support with personal hygiene requirements. maintain High standards of cleanliness and follow infection prevention guidelines.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
