Job description
Work as a Healthcare Assistant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust based at the Hayes Renal Satellite Unit (UB3), a purpose-built 24-station haemodialysis unit opposite the Beck Theatre with free staff parking. You will be part of a nurse‑led, friendly team working Monday to Saturday across long, short and twilight shifts (07:00–23:30), so flexibility is important. The role is hands‑on: welcoming and escorting patients, supporting activities of daily living according to care plans, keeping the environment safe and clean, helping with stock control, reporting faulty equipment and maintaining patient confidentiality. No previous haemodialysis experience is required — comprehensive on-site training is provided — though basic numeracy/literacy, good spoken and written English and customer-service experience will help you settle in. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
This permanent, full‑time Band 3 role (£29,651–£31,312 pa inclusive) offers clear routes for development within Imperial College Healthcare, with flexible working options, wellbeing support, staff recognition and benefits such as Cycle to Work, car lease and season ticket loan schemes. The Trust is committed to equal opportunities and will consider part‑time or job‑share arrangements where possible — ideal for women and carers seeking meaningful patient contact, dependable shift patterns and career progression in a supportive environment. If this sounds like the next step in your caring career, click the "Apply Now" button that appears alongside this advert to apply — you can also find further details on jobsincare.com.
