Support short‑term rehabilitation as a Healthcare Assistant at Salvington Lodge Intermediate Care Unit in Worthing (BN13) for Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. This permanent, full‑time Band 3 role (£24,625–£25,674) involves working flexibly across long days, some short days and night shifts to assist adults (18+) returning to independence after illness, falls or surgery. You will work under nursing, ACP and medical guidance to deliver safe, compassionate care — helping with personal care, mealtimes, record‑keeping on SystmOne, equipment checks and maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality. The post requires experience in a health setting, a willingness to learn, a DBS check and, ideally, an NVQ Level 2/Care Certificate. Please note interviews are in person, previous applicants need not apply, and the role is unlikely to be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, so only candidates with the right to work in the UK should apply.

This is a people‑focused role well suited to caring, reliable candidates — particularly women seeking family‑friendly, community‑based work with clear development routes. The Trust offers flexible working options, strong wellbeing and compassionate leadership shown in the 2024 staff survey, workplace nurseries, active staff networks and excellent training opportunities across Sussex near the South Downs and coast.
