Main duties of the job
Your role will be to support the School Aged Immunisation team in organising, managing and delivering the school-based immunisation programme in all schools.You will be required to attend immunisation sessions in schools and community clinics to provide administrative support and within your role as Healthcare Support Worker you will be required to administer the Flu vaccinations to young people following the supply of the vaccine by an appropriately Registered Healthcare Professional.You will also be required to attend vaccination sessions to observe students who may feel unwell post vaccination. Full training will be provided.The role requires travel to schools and community venues, so you need to be a car driver with access to a car. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2. Mileage from base will be paid.
