This is an exciting post to support the invasive cardiac physiology service with the organisational management of cardiac implantable electronic device patients under remote follow-up and/or monitoring. This includes implantable loop recorders, pacemakers, cardiac resynchronisation therapy and implantable cardioverter defibrillators. We are looking to attract a candidate with administrative experience and proven ability to communicate well with patients, as the post-holder will have both administrative and clinical responsibilities. No prior clinical experience required. Full training will be provided for the clinical aspects of the role. Applicants are required to have excellent organisational skills and excellent interpersonal skills and will be required to work as part of a team in this busy department. This includes Implantable Loop Recorders (ILR), pacemakers (PPM), cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD). Areas of focus will include the following: ·Technical knowledge will be expected (training can be provided) when providing patient care, advice and assisting with the follow-up services. · Supporting and educating patients with the home monitoring set up, identifying any technical issues and providing appropriate troubleshooting advice. ·Following local proformas, workflows and guidelines for coordination of remote monitoring service, acquired through formal in-house training. ·Able to manage and book scheduled clinics for remote downloads for CRTP, CRT-D and ICDs. ·Communicating and working efficiently with multidisciplinary professional team to provide quality care for patients. The role is a foundation role within a healthcare science department and as such the post-holder will be expected to be using scientific skills and knowledge to underpin and develop their work. The post-holder will be expected to maintain the patient at the centre of all their decision-making processes. They will need to behave with integrity, honesty and probity, with good scientific practice as their foundation.
