Work with the Invasive Cardiac Physiology team at Cambridge University Hospitals as an Invasive Cardiac Support Worker on the Cardiology Day Unit (K2). This part-time, permanent role supports remote follow-up and monitoring of cardiac implantable electronic devices (implantable loop recorders, pacemakers, CRT and ICDs), combining administrative duties with hands-on patient support. You will book and co-ordinate remote-download clinics, follow local proformas and workflows, help patients set up and troubleshoot home monitoring equipment, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to keep patients at the centre of care. No prior clinical experience is required – full training for the clinical aspects is provided – but the post-holder must bring excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and a commitment to integrity and good scientific practice.
