Yorkare Homes is seeking a Senior Day Care Assistant for their newly refurbished luxury care home, Rawcliffe Manor, located in York. The position involves managing or supporting the overall care of residents, promoting their dignity and independence while ensuring personal care and support for those with diverse needs. The role includes supervising and training care assistants, administering medications, and effectively communicating with residents and their families. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, and flexibility, compassion, and strong organisational skills are essential.

Rawcliffe Manor has been fully refurbished into a luxury, state of the art, 67 bed care home.
Both Residential and Dementia care are provided, and facilities include residents bar, garden room and private dining room.
Due to Occupancy increasing rapidly, we are currently expanding our team and looking for a Senior Care Assistant (Days) to join our team.
Full and Part time roles available
6:45am 7pm shifts This role will include some weekend work
It is essential that all our staff are;
Whilst experience is preferred, training and support is provided to a very high standard if the applicant demonstrates all the qualities we feel are essential to fulfil this role, such as having a positive and caring attitude.

It is essential that all our staff are;

- Willing to undertake any training necessary to develop skills and competency relevant to the role.
- Sensitive to the needs of others.
- An active team player and must be able to work on own initiative.
- Possess good communication skills with colleagues and residents.
- To either be in overall charge of an entire speciality or to support the person in overall charge in all aspects of the management of the home.
- To promote the philosophy of Privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all of our clients, treating everyone with respect.
- To support and guide Care assistants to provide personal care and support residents with a wide range of needs and disabilities.
- To induct, train and supervise care assistants as required.
- To safely administer medications to those in your care, using the appropriate documentation in accordance with MAR charts and Yorkare Homes policies.
- To report and record in the appropriate manner any information considered to be important. Read and write reports in an accurate and timely fashion using the computer systems.
- To deal with any queries or worries expressed by residents/relatives/visitors and forward on to senior managers if unable to resolve.
