PERMANENT GOOD SALARY
Job description
SWLP plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative and patient-centered POCT and rapid diagnostic solutions, both in the primary and secondary care settings. The Point of Care Testing (PoCT) department is accredited to the ISO15189:2and ISO22870 standards and the PoCT team manages a wide range of PoCT analysers and devices, connected to POCT middleware systems, across five acute hospitals and in the community. The team manages the governance and quality assurance, the technical support and maintenance, and training and competency assessment of all POCT analysers.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced individual to the role of Specialist Biomedical Scientist in POCT based at the Epsom and St Helier Hospitals.
The post-holder will work relatively independently, supported by the SWLP POCT manager, POCT coordinator, Associate practitioners, POCT trainers, the clinical lead for POCT and the Principal Clinical Biochemist on each site to deliver a safe, quality-assured and resilient PoCT service. Given the outward facing nature of this role, the successful individual will need to have good organisational and communication skills and significant experience in PoCT and quality management.
