The Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Assistant to join their family-oriented unit in East Grinstead. The role involves working 37.5 hours a week over four days, with shifts primarily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, along with the option for occasional Saturday work. The unit offers a comprehensive Ophthalmic Outpatient service, which includes nurse-led clinics and diagnostic support to consultants and fellows.

Responsibilities include conducting visual acuity and eye pressure checks, assisting with patient pre-assessments (including ECGs and blood pressure checks), performing phlebotomy, supporting nurse-led clinics, and maintaining an organized and stocked department.
