The Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Team Lead/Senior Phlebotomist to join their Knowsley Team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in phlebotomy and demonstrate strong leadership skills. This role involves providing phlebotomy services in both clinical settings and patients' homes, ensuring the smooth operation of the service alongside the Team Manager, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The position requires a flexible work schedule, primarily Monday to Friday, with potential for evening and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities include conducting blood sample collections while ensuring patient safety and adhering to established protocols, mentoring new staff and learners, and participating in service planning and stock management. Additionally, the Senior Phlebotomist will play a crucial role in developing policies that meet the community's needs and fostering partnerships with multi-agency teams. Candidates should possess a proactive attitude, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care within a supportive team environment.
