Job description
Embrace a pivotal role with Teesside Hospice, where your passion for healthcare meets an exciting opportunity as a Nurse Associate specialising in Lymphoedema. Based in the dynamic Tees Valley and North Yorkshire regions, you'll be part of a practitioner-led team that offers personalised care to individuals affected by Primary and Secondary Lymphoedema, along with Lipoedema. Though experience in lymphoedema isn't a prerequisite, your enthusiasm and commitment to training in this area will be nurtured to ensure you deliver top-notch, patient-centred care. You'll be instrumental in educating patients and their families on self-management strategies, employing techniques such as compression bandaging, simple lymphatic drainage, and the innovative use of kinesio tape—all underpinned by the esteemed guidelines of the British Lymphology Society and International Best Practice.
In this role, you will support and collaborate with dedicated Lymphoedema Practitioners to not only provide holistic care but also to offer emotional and psychological support to those with chronic or life-limiting conditions. Your responsibilities will span clinic settings, home visits, and community environments like GP surgeries and care homes. You will engage in development opportunities, participate in educating both patients and healthcare peers, and help maintain a high standard of practice effectiveness through Clinical Governance. The position promises a fulfilling journey of professional growth while contributing to a compassionate community service.
