Job description
Bring your radiography expertise to Sheffield Children’s Hospital’s welcoming paediatric imaging department, where a friendly, flexible team works across three general x‑ray rooms plus DEXA, EOS, CT, SPECT‑CT, theatre and mobile imaging. You’ll deliver high‑quality diagnostic images for a wide caseload — from neurosurgical and oncology patients to trauma and complex needs — using professional judgement to choose exposures, manipulate images and perform initial image assessment before patients leave the department. Clear, compassionate communication with children, families and carers (including those with learning difficulties) is essential, as is experience in specialist areas such as CT, MRI or fluoroscopy and in imaging critically ill or multi‑trauma patients.
This bank opportunity, offered by NHS Professionals Limited at Sheffield (S10 2TH), is Band 6 with pay of £21.80–£25.60 per hour and flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle — ideal for carers seeking work‑life balance and variety.
