We are looking for a Band 7 Specialist Older Adults Psychiatry Liaison Practitioner to join our Psychiatry Liaison Service at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey.
The successful candidate will be involved inundertaking initial assessments and follow up reviews of older people presenting with mental health issues and/or dementia at St Peter's Hospital (currently inpatient wards and A+E).
They must be able to work flexibly within the team and provide supervision to a team of nurses. The posts require shift working.

To provide expert interventions and oversight to the care of older people within the acute general hospital pathway. To will ensure that the care delivered is excellent and in keeping with the most up to date guidelines. To have a good knowledge of mental health within working age adults.
To support the growth and development of other members of the liaison psychiatry team whilst supporting the service manager and wider Trust to achieve an exemplary service underpinning our visions and values.
To put the experience of the person using the service at the centre of all decision making whilst building and maintaining supportive and responsive relationships with colleagues in the acute trust.
