Band 8c: £74,290 to £85,601 a year per annum, pro rata  PERMANENT 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within children and young people's community based mental health services (Solar) and the Early Intervention Service (EIS) in Solihull. We are looking to recruit a clinical/counselling psychologist or equivalent applied practitioner psychologist to lead psychological services supporting effective and safe service delivery at Solar and EIS. We encourage applicants from Clinical/Counselling Psychology and also applied Psychological Professions who feel that they meet the person specification. We are looking for a candidate, either already in a Consultant role, or with leadership experience within a CAMHS setting, and with a specialism in at least one evidence based psychological intervention.

Solar (CAMHS) currently provides holistic emotional wellbeing and mental health support to 0-18 year olds in Solihull. The service supports mild, moderate and severe difficulties with a blend of universal, targeted and specialist input from a variety of different services including Eating Disorders, Learning Difficulties, Autism/ADHD, Looked After Children, Primary Care, Secondary Care and Mental Health in Schools Team. Additionally the Early Intervention and At Risk Mental State (ARMS) provide a service for 14 - 65 age range.

This is a key senior leadership role working alongside Clinical Service Manager and other clinical and operational leads from Solar/EIS and Adult Mental Health Services; additionally liaising with other key stakeholders, including children/young people and commissioners. The post holder should have excellent knowledge of mental health services, experience of service transformation / redesign, co-production and operational knowledge of mental health services
