The Deputy Team Lead for District Nursing in Cramlington at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a leadership role that supports the management of the Community Nursing Team, requiring substantial clinical expertise developed through practical experience. The position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care and involves establishing effective communication networks with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. The Deputy Team Lead will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of collaborative leadership, mentorship, and professional development among staff, as well as being accountable for patient care in accordance with the NMC code of conduct.

Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating care packages for a designated caseload, prioritizing clinical needs, performing risk assessments, and advocating for patients and their families. The role also requires promoting infection control practices and making necessary referrals to other agencies when needed. The post holder will work autonomously and exercise accountability in their practice, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care within a designated district nursing area.
