An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join our Macmillan Personalised care Programme. The aim of the programme is to improve patient experience through the delivery of personalised care at UHB as indicated in the NHS Long Term Plan (2.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual, with a passion and commitment to improve the cancer patient pathway and experience for patients living with and beyond their cancer diagnosis.
This role will deliver on projects and support data collection to embed cancer personalised care at UHB. The post holder will work closely with the personalised care programme lead to support various projects that have been initiated over the last 2 years. They will also work in collaboration with the clinical and operational teams, allied health professionals, personalised care team and key stakeholders to embed personalised care into patient pathways.

Support the Personalised Care Lead in delivering cancer personalised care across cancer pathways.
Implement and evaluate service improvements using project and change management methodologies.
Identify gaps in service delivery and develop clear action plans with milestones.
Ensure stakeholder engagement and track progress against KPIs and project milestones.
Work closely with clinical teams, support services, and external partners to promote understanding of the personalised care agenda.
Use negotiation, mediation, and persuasion to align interests and secure buy-in.
Communicate effectively across all levels, including senior management and patient groups.
Chair and participate in meetings; ensure clear communication of actions and outcomes.
Produce accurate and timely reports using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Support the data collection around personalised care interventions and present data in a format relatable to the reader.
Maintain strong communication systems to track and share project progress.
Ensure delivery of reports on metrics for University Hospitals Birmingham and Macmillan.
Support business case development.
Support and lead audit projects; analyse and present results to improve practice.
Must be IT literate, able to travel between sites, and capable of light physical duties.
Able to work under pressure with frequent interruptions and high emotional demands.
Demonstrate resilience and understanding in emotionally challenging situations.
