Job description
Play a central role in delivering compassionate, evidence‑based psychological care at Priory Hospital Marchwood Park, providing individual therapy on Skylark — our specialist eating disorder ward — alongside group therapies and assessments for NHS inpatients across the acute wards (Starling and Sandpiper). This part‑time permanent post (15 hours per week) suits an HCPC‑registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist seeking flexible hours alongside other commitments; therapies are delivered in person, and experience with eating disorders, inpatient NHS settings or group work using CBT, DBT or ACT approaches is highly desirable. You’ll also contribute to psychological formulations, carer support, staff training, consults and reflective practice as an integral member of the ward community.
You will be welcomed into a supportive, multi‑disciplinary therapy team — led by a Counselling Psychologist and including therapists, a Clinical Psychologist, Creative Arts Therapist and Assistant Psychologist — with real opportunities for CPD and developing a specialism in acute distress and eating disorders. The permanent post offers a salary band of £48,250–£58,250 (dependent on experience), is subject to DBS and UK professional registration, and is advertised on jobsincare.com. More about the NHS
The National Health Service (NHS) is a cornerstone of healthcare in the United Kingdom, established in 1948 with the simple yet profound principle of providing healthcare to all citizens, free at the point of use. This revolutionary system aimed to ensure that access to medical services would not depend on an individual’s financial situation, a concept that has since become fundamental to British societal values.
