Job description
Smile Together, based in scenic Bodmin, Cornwall, invites empathetic and skilled dentists to embrace a fulfilling opportunity as a Special Care Dentist at our Harleigh Road Dental Centre. This role offers more than typical dentistry; it's a chance to provide thoughtful, personalised care to patients facing barriers to accessing treatments. With just 15 hours a week, you'll have the flexibility to balance work and personal commitments while making a profound impact on the lives of patients. We offer a competitive salary from £79,625 (pro rata), or the flexibility of a self-employed basis, ensuring your expertise is duly rewarded. At Smile Together, no day is the same, offering diverse challenges and the satisfaction of truly making a difference.
We are seeking individuals with GDC registration and a palpable interest or experience in Special Care Dentistry. You'll need a calm, flexible mindset, excellent communication skills, and a true passion for inclusive dentistry. Your work will involve delivering care using conscious sedation techniques and potentially under General Anaesthesia, where appropriately trained. You will engage actively with colleagues in peer reviews and professional development, contributing your expertise to service improvement. Your role also requires maintaining high clinical and safety standards, ensuring our patients receive top-notch care.
