The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Adult/Forensic Consultant Psychiatrist for its Low Secure Ward at the Chichester Centre. This position involves providing inpatient consultant responsibilities for a case load of 15 female patients, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, social workers, and therapists. The role includes acting as an Approved/Responsible Clinician, participating in weekly referral meetings, conducting assessments for admissions, and contributing to the development of local mental health services.

The Consultant Psychiatrist will also have a leadership role within the ward team, ensuring safe and supportive care while promoting quality improvement in services. The position offers a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000 and up to £8,000 for relocation expenses, with flexible working conditions and strong support from experienced colleagues. Contributors to strategic planning and governance are also expected, enhancing mental health care standards in Sussex.
