The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two full-time Staff Nurses for a 12-month fixed term position on Ward 28 at Scunthorpe General Hospital. This 18-bedded elective surgical ward cares for pre- and post-operative patients undergoing a variety of surgeries, including general surgery, colorectal, and urology. The ideal candidate will be a Band 5 nurse with a keen interest in surgical care, possessing strong communication skills and the ability to maintain high standards. While previous surgical experience is preferred, it is not essential.

The primary responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing pre and post-operative care, performing clinical procedures like venepuncture and catheterisation, and ensuring the safe discharge of patients. The role also involves taking charge of the ward and being accountable for nursing practices in accordance with NMC standards.
