At Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, we're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Diabetes Specialist Maternity Support Worker to empower women managing diabetes during pregnancy. Based in the maternity service at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Wythenshawe, this role is perfect for a seasoned Senior Healthcare Support Worker ready to make a meaningful impact. You'll play a vital role in supporting the diabetes team, managing appointments, communicating care plans, and directly overseeing the care of women with diabetes. With responsibilities including maternal observations and venepuncture, you'll support midwives and doctors while fostering an atmosphere of woman and family-centred care. Your daily tasks will also involve educational support for expectant mothers and familiarisation with specialised equipment.
