Job description
NICE seeks an experienced surgeon with a keen interest in adult perioperative care to lend their expertise as a Specialist Committee Member within the Quality Standards Advisory Committee (QSAC). This vital, albeit unpaid, role offers the unique chance to shape national healthcare standards. Meetings are held virtually, making participation accessible, but occasional in-person attendance may be necessary, with all travel expenses covered by NICE. Over a commitment of approximately ten months, you'll actively engage in meetings, collaborating with fellow experts and NICE staff to inform and develop quality standards that will impact healthcare across the UK. This is an opportunity to infuse your insights, raise important concerns, and advocate for excellence in care, all while adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct and equality.
Join a dedicated team where your contributions will hold significant value in shaping the provision of care. Your role will involve reviewing and providing feedback on materials, prioritising care areas for quality statements, and championing the finalised standards. You’ll be instrumental in the publication process and partake in initiatives to promote these efforts. Working alongside NICE’s Quality Programme and the QSAC Chair, anticipate tight deadlines and the need for swift turnarounds. If you’re enthusiastic about making a real difference and engaging in this rewarding collaboration, apply now through jobsincare.com, where you'll find a seamless application process. Simply click the "Apply Now" button to begin your journey in redefining care excellence.
