Job description
Community Adult Consultant Psychiatrist with NELFT’s North Mental Health & Wellness Team, based at Barking Community Hospital (IG11), offering a substantive, permanent full‑time post of 10 Programmed Activities (7.5 DCC : 2.5 SPA). You will provide senior medical leadership and direct clinical care for adults across northern Barking and Dagenham (Chadwell Heath, Whalebone, Becontree, Valence, Parsloes and Heath), working alongside 1.8wte consultants, a full‑time specialty doctor and trainees. The role includes participation in a 1:50 on‑call rota (Category A, 3% supplement), a competitive consultant salary band (£109,725–£145,478 pa pro‑rata) and a skilled, multidisciplinary environment focused on collaborative, family‑centred care.
This post is ideal for clinicians with full GMC registration, CCT (or equivalent), Section 12 and Approved Clinician eligibility/inclusion on the Specialist Register (or within six months of CCST).
