Beaulieu House is a warm, welcoming, and child-focused service based in Newport, Isle of Wight, offering residential care and short breaks for children and young people with disabilities, including those with complex medical needs and behaviours that challenge. About the Role: We are looking for Casual Support Workers to join our dedicated team, providing flexible support across both our Children’s Home and Short Breaks service. This role is ideal for individuals who want to make a difference and are looking for flexible working opportunities. Casual staff help cover sickness, annual leave, and rota shortfalls. Shifts can be pick-up, up to 8 weeks in advance, and once accepted, there is a commitment to complete the shift. Shift Patterns Include: Early Shift: 07:00 – 14:30 School Term Early Shift: 07:00 – 11:00 Late Shift: 14:15 – 21:45 Night Shift: 21:45 – 07:15 Shifts are available across weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and school holidays Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, person-centred care Support children with personal care, communication, and medical needs Promote independence and positive behaviour Engage in fun, meaningful activities tailored to each child Work collaboratively with families and professionals Who We’re Looking For: Compassionate, reliable, and flexible individuals Experience in care is helpful but not essential — full training is provided A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs Willingness to work a variety of shifts What We Offer: A supportive and inclusive team environment Full training including Safeguarding, First Aid, PROACT-SCIPr-UK®, Trauma Awareness and much more.
