For this particular client you will be working across a variety of supported living services in and around Trowbridge. You will be supporting individuals with varying needs from individuals with learning difficulties and physical disabilities, to individuals who display behaviours that may challenge. For this particular client, you will be supporting individuals in their own flats, these service users do not have 24 hour support as they are quite able but may need support with batch cooking and cleaning or attending appointments or going to club. You will be visiting a few different individuals for these shifts, all of whom live within the Trowbridge area. You will support each service user in a person-centred way, always promoting choice as your number one priority, and enabling each individual to be as independent as possible and live their lives to the fullest. This is a temporary, ad hoc role, you will be supporting staffing gaps due to sickness and holidays. Shifts here can be variable between 07.00-22.00 Job Role A Support Worker is required to deliver support within an adult's health or social care environment, supporting with daily living tasks or development of new skills. The tasks may be one to one with an adult or with other support workers or health professionals, they may be provided within the home and garden itself or outside in the community, equipment may be required for moving and handling or health tasks. A support plan on site must be followed for completion of tasks, safety, client communication and any end-of-life instruction where relevant.
