Support women with complex mental health needs at Oswald House in Accrington, a purposefully small residential service run by Active Care Group, one of the UK’s largest independent providers in neuro and mental healthcare. You’ll work full time (37.5 hours per week) earning £24,297 a year, including night shifts of 12.5 hours, supporting up to nine female residents in a calm home with a large lounge, garden activities and easy access to local amenities for supervised outings. Day-to-day duties include building open, two‑way relationships, helping people follow their rehabilitation programmes, establishing accessible methods of communication, supporting activities of daily living and personal care when required, and accurately reporting and recording care for the clinical team.

This role suits compassionate carers — particularly women seeking meaningful work in mental health — who have some care or mental health experience and a genuine commitment to person‑centred support. Good communication skills at all levels and an Enhanced DBS are required; Active Care Group is Disability Confident and will make reasonable adjustments for applicants.
