Lead the nursing team on Smithers Ward, a 19‑bed inpatient unit with 4 day‑care beds specialising in holistic oncology care at The Royal Marsden, Sutton. This full‑time, fixed‑term Ward Sister/Charge Nurse role (salary £53,751–£60,651 pa) requires a confident clinical leader who can create and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and their families, co‑ordinate all ward functions (including outlying private patients) and manage resources within budgetary limits. You will provide hands‑on clinical credibility, motivate and support nursing and support staff, participate in audits and data collection, monitor incidents and develop strategies to prevent recurrence, and ensure safe, person‑centred discharges in close partnership with the multi‑disciplinary team.
