This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.Salary, £28,000 - £32,500 per annum depending on experience. Job Purpose (including main duties and responsibilities)The post holder will promote the highest possible standards of achievement and well-being to secure the long-term success of the pupils at our SchoolTo be accountable for overseeing the behaviour incident reports, safeguarding incident reports & Cause for Concerns on CPOMSTo be accountable for overseeing attendance data and ensuring that part-time plans are in place, where appropriate, and that strategies to help to support and improve the attendance for the pupils are in place To ensure that each child’s wellbeing is being monitored and supported appropriatelyAct in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures at all timesSupport high expectations amongst staff for the behaviour and well-being of all pupilsSupport ‘Pupil Voice’ and involve pupils in a meaningful wayPupil welfareGive a high level of attention to effective relationships within the School Support strategies which promote the highest standards of behaviour and attendanceProvide nurturing and attentive pastoral care for all pupilsEnsure pupils’ Wellbeing needs, identified through their EHCP targets, are addressed and metSupport opportunities for pupils to understand and adopt healthy behaviours and lifestylesSupport opportunities for pupils to develop their spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding, including understanding of British ValuesPartnershipsWork with partner agencies to protect and safeguard pupilsDevelop strong and supportive relationships with parents, carers, familiesFoster and maintain links with external professionals Support the development and implementation of effective Behaviour Management strategies and Attendance policies and procedures Participate in relevant CPD to support own and school development and improvementAttend and host meetings which involve; parents, professionals and wider team networksSafeguarding pupilsHave due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils ensuring that the child protection procedures are adhered toEnsure that the highest priority is given to following the guidance and regulations to safeguard children and pupilsTo ensure the safety and welfare of children and pupils at all timesReport to the appropriate authorities any concerns relating to child protection Undertake Designated Safeguarding Lead training and take on DSL responsibilityAccountabilityWork closely with the Head Teacher; Therapists; Teachers and Teaching Assistants.Present a coherent and accurate account of the attendance and behaviour monitoring statistics/dataEnsure that parents/carers and pupils are kept well informed about behaviour incidents and concerns regarding attendanceEnsure attendance data is shared weekly with LA’sEnsure that the staff team is equipped with strategies to help support and engage the pupils with their educationCarry out such other duties as required by the Leadership Team/Governing Body that are commensurate within the role.THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:good literacy and numeracy skills. an ability to work on their own initiative.Able to prioritise and organise the demands of the jobKnowledge and understanding of pupils with a wide range of moderate and complex educational needsa high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.Secure knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures.the ability to use relevant technology/equipment.a can-do attitude.a commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
