Mencap seeks a Female Support Worker in Peterborough to deliver person‑centred care that helps people with a learning disability live the life they choose. You’ll support day‑to‑day routines and join in activities from arts and gardening to trips out for shopping or visits to the garden centre, while providing personal care, manual handling, SALT feeding and using a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach where needed. This permanent, part‑time role pays £12.21 per hour and forms part of 24‑hour services, so shift patterns can include days, evenings, sleep‑ins and weekends — rotas are planned in advance to give flexibility. A full UK driving licence is essential and applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK; Mencap is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this post.
