Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting permanent Healthcare Support Workers in Cambridge (Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie). This hands-on role suits compassionate carers — whether experienced or new to healthcare — who want to support registered nurses in delivering dignified, safe care. Duties include personal care, serving meals, taking observations (BP, pulse, temperature, urinalysis), and assisting patients with mobility. Posts are permanent, available full or part time with varied shifts (long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays). You may be appointed at Band 2 while completing the CUH induction and Care Certificate, progressing to Band 3 once competencies are met. A Functional Skills test is part of the interview process for applicants not currently employed as a CUH support worker. Salary banding is approximately £24,465–£26,598 p.a. pro rata.
