Randstad Education is recruiting full-time Teaching Assistants (SEN/LSA) based in Girton, Cambridge (CB25). This permanent role works Monday–Friday during school hours, offers a salary of £17,000–£21,000 depending on experience, and starts ASAP. You will support pupils with special educational needs and learning disabilities through day-to-day activities, community integration and personalised care — including toileting and personal care where required — and help develop and follow individual care plans. The post involves maintaining accurate, confidential records, applying positive behaviour strategies and working closely with teachers and families in a professional, supportive setting. Candidates must be UK eligible for work, willing to undergo DBS and reference checks; sponsorship cannot be offered.

This vacancy is ideal for caring, patient people — particularly women and experienced carers returning to or progressing in education support — who want practical, hands-on work that builds pupils’ confidence and independence. Good communication and basic IT skills, the ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly, and experience with SEND or autism are highly valued; a full clean driving licence and access to a car are desirable. Randstad Education offers a collaborative team environment and urgent roles may favour a DBS on the update service.
